Stego Terms Of Use
Effective Date: 15 July 2026
1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of www.stegosafety.com, including its pages, subdomains, digital resources, downloadable documents, product information, communication functions and any restricted areas made available through the website.
The website is operated by STEGO Technologies Inc. References to “STEGO”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean STEGO Technologies Inc. and, where applicable, its affiliated entities, authorised representatives and operating locations.
References to “you” and “your” mean any person or organisation accessing or using the website.
By accessing, browsing, downloading from or otherwise using the website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms of Use. You must not use the website if you do not agree to these terms.
These Terms of Use must be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Legal Information page.
2. PURPOSE OF THE WEBSITE
The website provides information about STEGO, its hand protection products, technologies, product categories, materials, features, safety standards, industries, services, publications and business activities.
Website content is provided for general commercial, educational and product evaluation purposes. It supports the preliminary identification and assessment of hand protection solutions.
Website content does not replace:
1. A workplace hazard assessment 2. Advice from a qualified safety professional 3. Applicable occupational health and safety requirements 4. Product specific technical documentation 5. Safety data sheets 6. Employer training and supervision 7. Inspection of the actual product before use 8. Testing under the conditions in which the product will be used
Final product selection remains the responsibility of the employer, purchaser, safety professional and end user.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms of Use.
Where you use the website on behalf of a company, employer, distributor, customer or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms of Use on its behalf.
The website is intended primarily for businesses, safety professionals, distributors, procurement professionals, employers and adult users. It is not directed at children.
4. PRODUCT SELECTION AND WORKPLACE RESPONSIBILITY
Hand protection must be selected according to the specific hazards, tasks, materials, chemicals, tools, machinery, working environment and duration of exposure involved.
No glove provides protection against every hazard or under every condition.
Before selecting or using a STEGO product, the responsible party must assess all relevant factors, including:
1. The nature and severity of the hazard 2. The required protection level 3. The applicable safety standard 4. The duration and frequency of exposure 5. The substances and materials being handled 6. The concentration and temperature of chemicals 7. The presence of sharp edges, moving components or machinery 8. Required grip, dexterity and tactile sensitivity 9. Glove size, fit and wearer compatibility 10. Environmental conditions 11. Product condition, contamination and previous use 12. Applicable laws, regulations and workplace procedures
Product recommendations, selection guides, industry references, website filters and application examples are general guidance. They do not constitute a guarantee that a product is suitable for a particular workplace or task.
Users must verify suitability through an appropriate risk assessment and, where necessary, a controlled workplace glove trial.
5. PRODUCT PERFORMANCE STATEMENTS
Product performance information may include laboratory test results, classifications, certifications, ratings, material descriptions and performance characteristics.
Laboratory results are obtained under defined test conditions. Actual workplace performance may differ due to the conditions of use.
Performance can be affected by factors including:
1. Wear and abrasion 2. Cuts, punctures and tears 3. Chemical exposure 4. Heat, cold and humidity 5. Contamination 6. Ultraviolet exposure 7. Cleaning and laundering 8. Storage conditions 9. Product age 10. Incorrect sizing 11. Improper use 12. Repeated exposure 13. Variations in the workplace environment
A product described as cut resistant is not cut proof. A product described as impact resistant cannot prevent every impact injury. A product described as chemical resistant is not resistant to every chemical, concentration, temperature or exposure duration. A product described as water resistant must not be treated as waterproof unless its product documentation expressly states that it is waterproof. Published performance levels must not be interpreted as a guarantee against injury.
6. CHEMICAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Chemical protection information requires particular care.
Chemical suitability must be assessed using the exact chemical substance, mixture, concentration, temperature, duration of contact and conditions of use.
Chemical resistance can be affected by:
1. Chemical concentration 2. Chemical mixtures and impurities 3. Contact temperature 4. Glove movement and flexing 5. Mechanical wear 6. Repeated exposure 7. Permeation 8. Penetration 9. Degradation 10. Glove thickness 11. Product condition
A chemical appearing within a product description or resistance guide does not establish suitability for every application involving that chemical.
Users must consult the current product specific chemical resistance information, the chemical manufacturer’s safety data sheet and a qualified safety professional before use.
Contaminated gloves must be removed, handled and disposed of according to the chemical manufacturer’s instructions, workplace procedures and applicable law.
7. STANDARDS AND REGULATORY INFORMATION
The website may provide information relating to national, regional or international standards, including European, American and other occupational safety standards.
Standards information is provided as general guidance. It does not constitute legal, regulatory or certification advice. Standards, testing methods, classifications and regulatory requirements may be revised, replaced or interpreted differently between jurisdictions.
Users are responsible for identifying and complying with the laws, regulations, standards and employer requirements applicable to their location and activity.
A reference to a standard does not establish that every product complies with every part of that standard. Compliance information must be confirmed through the current product declaration, certificate, technical data sheet, packaging or other official product documentation.
8. PRODUCT INFORMATION AND DOCUMENT CONTROL
STEGO takes reasonable measures to maintain accurate product information. Product specifications, materials, components, colours, dimensions, packaging, certifications, performance data and availability may be updated as products are developed or documentation is revised.
The current product specific technical data sheet, declaration, certificate, label and packaging take priority over general website content.
Users must verify that they are relying on the latest available version of any catalogue, brochure, technical data sheet, declaration, certificate, standard summary, chemical resistance guide, sizing guide or care instruction.
Printed and downloaded materials may become outdated after publication.
STEGO may correct errors, revise information, withdraw documents or change product information without prior notice.
Images, illustrations, renderings and digital representations are provided for reference. Actual product appearance may vary due to production, material, sizing, display and photographic conditions.
9. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
Products, sizes, colours, materials, certifications and services shown on the website may not be available in every country or market.
Availability may be subject to: 1. Local regulations 2. Certification requirements 3. Distribution arrangements 4. Stock availability 5. Minimum order quantities 6. Commercial terms 7. Import and export restrictions 8. Product revision or discontinuation
Website publication does not guarantee availability.
10. NO ONLINE OFFER OR CONTRACT
Unless expressly stated, website content does not constitute:
1. A binding offer to sell 2. A quotation 3. A contractual promise 4. A warranty 5. An acceptance of an order 6. A commitment to supply 7. Professional safety advice
Product enquiries, contact form submissions, sample requests, trial requests and distributor enquiries do not create a contract.
A commercial transaction becomes binding only when accepted according to the applicable quotation, order confirmation, supply agreement, distribution agreement or other written commercial terms issued or approved by STEGO.
Where a signed agreement or accepted commercial document conflicts with these Terms of Use, the signed agreement or accepted commercial document governs the relevant transaction.
